Terra Tempo In the Classroom
/Terra Tempo author David R Shapiro has given a run of Ice Age Safari presentations to elementary schools in Washington and Oregon this autumn. Ice Age Safari uses illustrations and content from Terra Tempo: Ice Age Cataclysm to discuss the animals of the ice age, the shifting climate of that time, and the epic Missoula Floods that ripped across the Pacific Northwest. David also shares the process of creating a graphic novel he shows slides of the making of the Terra Tempo series. David conducts the presentations by engaging students with questions and answers and allowing time at the end of the slides for final questions and discussion. Classrooms that order Terra Tempo books can also arrange a book signing at the end of the talk.
Also this season David did his first remote presentation with through the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration, http://cilc.org/ This program makes it easy for teachers around the country to bring Terra Tempo into their classrooms!
